Q: How should I care for clothing
I buy from your boutique? Can I wash anything in my
machine?
A: Some manufacturers have labels with cleaning guidelines
placed inside the garment, while others do not. Therefore,
FIFTY TWO SKADOO recommends ALL apparel be dry cleaned
unless otherwise noted.
Q: I ordered one of your items and removed the
tags before trying it on and it didn't fit properly.
Can I return it?
A: Once tags are removed from an item, exchanges or
refunds will not be granted. To ensure the quality standards
upheld here at Fifty Two Skadoo web Boutique for all
of our clients, there will be no exceptions.
Q: I ordered an item and it wasn't what I expected
when I got it. What now?
A: If the item you ordered was not what you expected
once received, for whatever reason, you may return it
for a refund, exchange or store credit.
FOR REFUNDS: We will
refund your purchase ( minus shipping and handling )
as long as it is received by us unworn, smoke and perfume
free, all tags attached and item put back in all of
it's original packaging within 14 days from the day
you received the item. Returned items must be received
by us within 14 days of the day you received it in order
to be eligible for a refund. We hold the right to refuse
a request for a refund if the above stated is not adhered
to.
FOR EXCHANGES AND STORE CREDIT:
If you would like to exchange an item for something
different or simply get store credit to purchase at
another time, send the item back to us unworn, smoke
and perfume free, all tags attached and put back in
all original packaging . You have 30 days from the day
you receive your item to send it back with your request.
Include your receipt. Please note that any items sent
to us after the 30 day cut off date will be sent back
to you at your expense and no refund, exchange or store
credit will be granted.
Q: An item I am interested in ordering is out
of stock. When will you get more?
A: We strive to have a full stock of merchandise year
round for our clients. However, sometimes an item can
be extremely popular and will sell out quickly. In these
cases, we will alert you to when we expect to re-stock
the item, or if it is sold out completely. Please keep
in mind we at Fifty Two Skadoo love to feature new items
often. This keeps the web boutique exciting, fresh and
new for you the client.
Q: I don't live in the Continental U.S. Do you
ship overseas?
A: Yes! We will absolutely ship to countries outside
of the U.S.A. Please refer to our shipping chart to
see the shipping rates for your country.
Q: Do you have a contact number I can reach
someone at to ask questions about my order?
A: We have a customer service line which is open from
10:00 - 5:00 Eastern Standard Time Monday - Friday.

Q:What are 'Limited Edition' items?
A:'Limited Edition' items are articles of clothing that
are extremely limited in size and/or design. We at Fifty
Two Skadoo are proud to carry these items as certain
designs will not be repeated which means even more exclusivity
for you, the client. Keep in mind that once these items
are sold out, they are gone for good!
Q: Some of your merchandise is described as
being 'custom made'. Can I return any of these items
for a refund?
A: 'Custom made' handbags, and apparel are items that
are hand-made by the designer/manufacturer. We uphold
the same return and exchange policy for our 'custom'
items as with all other merchandise. Please keep in
mind that when ordering 'custom', the wait time can
be from 4 - 6 weeks (in some cases) for your item, as
the designer/manufacturer will be hand crafting your
item especially for you. We will alert you to any wait
time that may be applicable to an order.
Q: Do you have a store front?
A: Fifty Two Skadoo is a specialized web boutique that
offers it's clients the convenience of 24 hour, 7 day
a week shopping that a store front boutique simply cannot.
Therefore we do not have a store front location. We
here at Fifty Two Skadoo take the utmost pride in offering
our clients the latest and best in vintage inspired
clothing from the 1940's - 1950's, all from the comfort
of your own home.
Q: Will you accept my return if I only wore
it once, or used the handbag I ordered for one night?
You won't be able to tell will you?
A: Yes, we will absolutely be able to tell if any items
ordered were used; even once! You wouldn't accept merchandise
from us that was worn ( even if only once! ) or tag
free would you? For the same reasons, we will not accept
any garments or handbags that appear to have been worn,
tags removed, no original packaging, that smell like
a smoky nightclub or perfume! As such, any items sent
to us in any of these conditions will be promptly sent
back to you at your expense. There are no exceptions.
Q: Do you issue Gift Certificates?
A: Yes, we do. Fifty Two Skadoo Gift Certificates are
available in denominations of $25.00, $50.00, $100.00,
$150.00, & $200.00. Please note that gift certificates
cannot be re-issued once lost or stolen. We will not
accept copies of an original Gift Certificate as payment
for a purchase. Gift Certificates must be used within
6 months of date issued.
Q: I love the old fashioned looking photo's
you have displayed on your website. Are they for real?
Who are those people?
A: Yes, they are authentic photo's of the Fifty Two
Skadoo family. Our family branches out from Brooklyn
and Queens New York to the West Midlands in England.
We are very proud of our family roots which is reflected
throughout our web boutique.
